The shaping phase begins by selecting a rough billet or round that is close to the required preform shape. The tungsten carbide is still soft and highly abrasive, so all of the roughing cuts are made with diamond-plated saw blades. The shapes are then machined with diamond-coated tooling on our computer-controlled equipment. This modern CNC equipment allows Vista to maintain consistency and ensure accuracy for any size job.
