Our full range of cobalt grades gives us the capability to produce a wide variety of high-quality, tungsten carbide preforms in virtually any desired hardness or density. They're perfect for can tooling, motor lamination dies, electronic tooling, compacting dies and automotive tooling.

We also have extensive experience in the production of preforms for progressive stamping dies, heading dies, wear parts, slitter knives and an infinite assortment of custom precision tooling.
Vista also offers nickel-binder carbides that have the advantages of corrosion resistance and non-magnetism with high levels of wear strength. Our VM-N6 and VM-N12 nickel grades have been developed for preforms to produce everything from seal rings for pumps to aluminum can tooling, and are especially effective in applications requiring the use of caustic lubricants and coatings. The VM-NM12 nickel grade is non-magnetic, making it ideal for die liner preforms used in the production of magnets for electric motors, stereo speaker rings, computer blocks and much more. Vista’s VM-N12V nickel grade with its controlled magnetic permeability is perfect for the aluminum can industry where magnetism presents a problem. In fact, any preform that you are now using can be made in one of our nickel grades.

Vista also offers On-The-Shelf tungsten carbide EDM Plus Blocks of various sizes and grades ready for same day shipment. Let us know if you have a standard block size that you would like us to add to this program.
Our WIRE EDM PLUS process is available on all of our grades of tungsten carbide. Extensively tested against cracking, you can now utilize WIRE EDM tungsten carbide for every die and wear part application.
